Since my daughter, son, and now me, are not feeling well, we have decided that handing out candy this year is just not a good idea. We don't want to risk getting any little kids, or their parents, sick. It's sad because this is one of our favorites times of seasons and Halloween is usually a time we deck the house out with a few decorations and dress up and hand candy out. We have to pass this year.
The candy that was bought I am sure will get eaten since we don't buy anything that we don't eat. LOL! We did carve a little pumpkin to sit out on our porch. Hope you all have a spooky evening!
Playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and I am working in Remi's restaurant serving customers. Olaf wants hot cocoa. 😁
Today is Reformation Sunday. Reformation Day is actually October 31st and a day remembering when Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Growing up Baptist, I do not remember celebrating this day. I knew about the history of Reformation Sunday and what occurred, but I do not remember my church celebrating it.
To put it simply, it was in response to the Roman Catholic Church issuing certificates (indulgences) to certain persons that made a financial gift contributing to the building of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, promising that they or their loved ones would be freed from a portion of the misery that was expected in the afterlife. Martin Luther did not hold this view and insisted that we are not forgiven because of anything we do – including the buying of Indulgences or doing enough good work. Instead, we are forgiven because of who God is. We are loved and forgiven because God is full of grace and mercy. In other words, his“95 Theses,” which propounded two central beliefs — that the Bible is the central religious authority and that humans may reach salvation only by their faith and not by their deeds.
So today, I celebrate with my fellow Christians and as a Presbyterian. Service started this morning with the song Death Was Arrested, and it really got us moving! I really love that song. Wonderful service today!
What a fantastic night!! I put together a little FNAF Watch Party tonight and we had quite the time. The movie was awesome! We ordered pizza, dug into Bonnie Rice Krispie treats and got some cute little goodies. Tomorrow we decorate Mr. Cupcake! 😁
Five Night's at Freddy's has been in my house since 2014 and both my kids and niece have enjoyed playing the games over the years and collecting the merch. My daughter still sings all the fan-made songs and plays the latest game. This movie has been highly anticipated and did not disappoint. Thank you Scott! And you should have heard this house when TLT's (The Living Tombstone) song play at the end of this movie!!! 😍
