Growing up, my mom always made my birthday special, no matter how old I got. I always had a cake, a birthday card, and gifts to open. I have continued this tradition with my own family, but I take it a step further. 😀 Every celebration has some sort of theme for the cake and the gifts. LOL!
This year for my daughter, it was a Venti theme from the game Genshin Impact. Happy 21st Birthday Skye!!
Happy 24th Birthday to our son T!! 🥳 We hope you have had an awesome weekend celebrating. Six Flags yesterday and a Birthday celebration today with gifts, homemade enchiladas, and cake!! 🎂 I am one proud mom of this young man!!! He has a heart of gold!!
Today my mom would have been 81 years old! Time passes way too fast. I often think of my mom. She was a very kind and caring person. She would bend over backwards to help someone out, and did often. I have so many memories, both awesome, and then a few not so awesome. LOL. But I do miss her greatly. She would have been the one grandparent that stood by my kids!

Happy 20th Birthday to my awesome beautiful daughter!!! I remember all the years pushing you in your stroller and look how fast time has passed! We are so proud of the caring and kindhearted young lady that you have grown up to be! 😊 We love you lots sweetie!! Keep being YOU!!! 😍
Happy 50th Birthday to me and another milestone reached! LOL! My day had a bit of a hiccup but it all turned out beautiful! I know a lot of people celebrate their 50th with a lot of black, but I wanted a twist on things, so Rose and Gold were added. LOL! My husband's idea for the cake turned out great! It was a big cake! 😊 He also made my favorite dinner - spaghetti and meatballs - and then we had cake and sparking cider. Korina had to celebrate with me, too. Thank you so much to my amazing other half and my not-so-little kiddos for making my day special. Afterwards, we hopped on a few games to celebrate!
Happy Birthday to this amazing and extraordinary husband that God has blessed me with!! He celebrated 54 years today, and I am happy to have been part of 27 of them. with more ahead of us! He amazes me every day with his strength, even when he is not feeling well. While, he has a rough time doing the things he used to be able to do without a second thought, he still trudges on. I 💓 you Babe!! 😍😜

This poem resonates with me. My mom passed away in October 2006. She had Emphysema and COPD. She was sick off and on for many years. I miss hear dearly.

Nineteen years ago I was at the hospital that afternoon on Christmas Day, only to be sent home in the wee hours of the morning, and return to the hospital less than five hours later. LOL! 😊
Today, I wish my little girl, who is not so little anymore, a very Happy Birthday! She was diagnosed with Autism before she turned three years old, and has made so much progress and accomplished so much that the doctors never dreamed she could.

Next - Happy 49th Birthday to me! 🥳 LOL! Quite a day. I worked at the office today by myself, but I did receive a few Birthday email and my supervisor left me a cute card on my desk. Friday is a remote day for a lot of people in my office, so not many were there. My hubby picked me up for lunch and then I wrapped up the rest of my day. We went to the store and picked up some goodies for dinner and boy did my hubby do a fantastic job. Baked chicken parmesan and cheesy corkscrew pasta! Yum! We had cake and opened up some cards. My daughter made me this little animation that she drew in Pixel Art. It's so cute!! My gift this year was early and it was my Kindle Fire, which I am always using. Played a few games with my daughter, too. A recap below.

have had some rough times with lots of bumps and bruises, but with the

Over the years I had tried really hard to get over the bitterness I have built up about having my mom change her will at the last moment. I honestly don't think I will ever forgive myself for doing that. I put my siblings arguments and jealousy over my family and in doing so, lost a house which was rightfully mine. Both my siblings have beautiful brick homes in lovely areas of town, and I just don't understand how a little 4 bedroom wood clapboard house that was not even worth $80,000, had to come between us.
Almost 15 years later, my family still does not have a home that we will own. Between surgery after surgery, paying off child support, a traumatic brain injury, loss of family, hubby having to medically retire, this crazy pandemic, and fighting for SSDI, it just hasn't been a priority. I finally found a full-time job and we are now looking at filing for bankruptcy.
My mother's Birthday was this week. Happy Birthday MOM!! 🎂 She would have been 79 years old. Thinking about her and the look on her face when I asked her to change her will brings back so many unpleasant memories of what followed. My one regret is not putting my foot down and telling my siblings to back the hell off. It changed nothing. I miss my mom.
