I can't believe it's been 13 years since I worked for the Humane Society of North Texas. Wow! And 13 years ago this big guy joined our family after I fostered him for a couple of months.
His name was Hoss. His owner had abandoned him at our shelter because he was heart-worm positive. I am thankful my family was able to provide a loving home for this wonderful dog and he remained with us until he crossed Rainbow Bridge. Even though he had gone through heart-worm treatment, his heart was weak and he succumbed to cardiac arrest 11 months afterwards. He was such a big baby and a great dog.
That sweet pup, I'm so glad you were there for him.
